Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and enhancing enterprise applications built on C#/.NET WinForms
  • Designing and maintaining Oracle PL/SQL database objects including procedures, packages, functions, and scheduled jobs
  • Supporting the ongoing evolution of business-critical systems and processes
  • Investigating and resolving complex technical issues within existing applications
  • Working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Participating in technical design, peer reviews, testing, and release activities
  • Contributing to technical debt reduction and application modernisation initiatives

Key Skills:

  • Strong commercial experience with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Solid background in C#/.NET WinForms development
  • Experience working with complex Oracle-backed applications
  • Strong SQL and database design skills
  • Azure DevOps and Git source control experience
  • Agile delivery experience within collaborative development teams
  • Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle

Bright Purple are recruiting for an experienced Oracle & WinForms Developer to join a well-established investment technology team delivering enhancements and continuous improvements across a portfolio of business-critical applications.

This role is ideal for a contractor who enjoys working within complex enterprise environments, balancing hands-on database development with application enhancement work across mature systems that are central to daily business operations.

The Opportunity

You’ll become part of a collaborative development team responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernising a suite of front-office applications used by investment professionals. The focus is on delivering incremental improvements, reducing technical debt, and supporting ongoing business change initiatives.
