Summary: The Application Configuration Engineer will be responsible for deploying and maintaining submarine-specific parameters within CAD and PLM toolsets, ensuring proper configuration and data quality. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to implement change processes and improve overall program performance. The engineer will also provide training and support to team members while leveraging their expertise in NX and Teamcenter. The position is critical for addressing gaps in the SSN AUKUS program and enhancing data governance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy submarine-specific parameters into CAD and PLM toolset configurations.
- Design and seek agreement on change processes for configuration settings with stakeholders.
- Maintain submarine-specific parameters and utilize new toolset features as they evolve.
- Establish data governance solutions to ensure data quality and reporting.
- Provide training to team members on NX and Teamcenter configurations.
- Liaise with program delivery teams to understand and configure design requirements.
Key Skills:
- Experience with NX and Teamcenter toolsets.
- Knowledge of NX Structure Designer, NX for Ship Building Authoring, NX Check-Mate, NXOpen, NX Product Template Studio (PTS), and NX Visual Reporting.
- XML coding skills for toolset configuration.
- Ability to train team members in NX and Teamcenter.
- Submarine structures design experience is beneficial.
