Summary: The Application Architect role in Wokingham involves leading the design and governance of enterprise application solutions with a focus on application modernization and cloud transformation. The ideal candidate will possess strong GE domain knowledge and will be responsible for ensuring secure and scalable solutions that align with business objectives. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions while establishing architecture standards and best practices. The role is expected to last between 6 to 12 months, with a preference for on-site work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain enterprise application architecture.
  • Lead application modernization and cloud migration programmes.
  • Design API, microservices, and integration architectures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Establish architecture standards, governance, and best practices.
  • Support GE-related applications and digital ecosystem integrations.
  • Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, and technology recommendations.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and regulatory alignment.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years' experience in application development and architecture.

  • TOGAF, Azure Architect, AWS Architect, or equivalent certifications - desirable.
  • Knowledge of IIoT, SCADA, MES, and OT/IT integration - desirable.
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments - desirable.

Location: Wokingham (preference for 5 days onsite, flexibility for 2–3 days per week considered)
