Summary: The Appian Data Migration Lead is responsible for overseeing the secure and accurate migration of legacy data into an Appian-based platform for a large government integrator in Washington. This role involves defining transformation logic, mapping strategies, and ensuring data governance while coordinating with internal stakeholders. The position is a 12-month onsite contract with potential for extension. The Lead will also support cutover planning and long-term data lifecycle requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and execute the migration of legacy data into an Appian-based platform.

Key Skills:
- BA/BS degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related major.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
- SAFe Agilist or SAFe DevOps Practitioner.
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in leading successful Appian implementations.
- Deep experience in developing and managing Appian workflows and data models.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodology.

The Lead is responsible for architecting and executing the secure, accurate, and complete migration of legacy data into an Appian-based platform. This role includes defining transformation logic, mapping strategies, auditability methods, and ensuring ongoing data governance and reporting alignment. The Appian Data Migration Lead supports both cutover planning and long-term data lifecycle requirements in coordination with internal stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- BA/BS degree (computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software, or related major)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
- Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
- SAFe Agilist or SAFe DevOps Practitioner
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (both technical and non-technical)
- Track record of leading and managing successful Appian implementations
