Summary: The role of Appian Architect involves defining enterprise-level Appian solutions and driving architectural decisions for a leading consultancy. The position requires ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing implementations that align with business goals. The contract is for 6 months with a likelihood of extension. The architect will collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document end-to-end solution architecture using multiple architectural views
- Lead technical and business architecture efforts, including business capability modelling
- Design enterprise integration architectures (SOA, ESB, n-tier)
- Oversee Appian application design standards, governance, and best practices
- Guide development teams on architecture, performance, and scalability
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders in Agile environments
Key Skills:
- 5+ years in architecture, BPM, or enterprise application integration
- 3+ years defining and documenting technology architectures
- 3+ years of Enterprise Application Integration (SOA/ESB)
- 4+ years of experience in Agile SDLC for large-scale, mission-critical systems
- 4+ years of business process modelling and optimization
- Strong experience with SOAP/REST web services
- Strong knowledge of application Servers (JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat)
- Experience with relational databases and SQL (Oracle preferred)
- Experience with Appian SAIL design
- Telecoms domain experience is a plus
