Apigee Java Developer

Summary: The Apigee Java Developer role involves working on a significant financial services project, focusing on API development and integration challenges. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot, JAX-RS, Hibernate).
• Develop API proxies, policies, and shared flows within Apigee (Edge or X).
• Integrate backend microservices with the Apigee API Gateway.
• Implement API security standards including OAuth2, JWT, and API keys.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance and scalability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across the API lifecycle.
• Produce documentation for API design, configuration, and development processes.

Key Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee Edge or Apigee X.
• Solid understanding of OAuth2, JWT, and API security.
• Experience using CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS.
• Familiarity with Postman, Splunk, and other API testing/troubleshooting tools.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture (preferred).
• Knowledge of API versioning, logging, and error-handling best practices (preferred).
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP) (preferred).
