API Test Analyst

Summary: The role of API Test Analyst involves creating and executing automation scripts for API testing with minimal supervision. The position requires collaboration with project stakeholders to report on testing progress and results. The analyst will also focus on improving testing methods and processes while ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role is based in Northampton and is set to continue until December 31, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create automation scripts, including estimates and pre/post conditioning.
• Execute automated tests and compile evidence for progress reporting.
• Communicate test execution details, data used, results, and defects to stakeholders.
• Build efficiency in testing and continuously improve test methods and processes.
• Participate in requirement analysis and creation of test scenarios.
• Ensure full integration with a focus on overall service quality.
• Create automation code using Java, Selenium, JQuery, and Cucumber.
• Set up and execute automated tests, recording evidence.
• Promote best practices within the team and champion innovation.
• Identify development needs and seek opportunities for growth.

• Proficiency with test automation tools such as REST Assured, Selenium, and Cucumber using Java.
• Extensive knowledge of the testing lifecycle and core testing processes.
