Summary: The API Designer role involves leading the design of API solutions within the Open Banking Center of Excellence, focusing on API design and security. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs and align with strategic architecture principles. The designer will also contribute to solution planning and best practices in the API domain. This role is hybrid and extends until the end of July 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective solution designs for API and API Security.
- Design end-to-end API solutions aligned with broader implementation contexts.
- Contribute to overall solution planning and estimation processes.
- Define best practices in API design and highlight areas for improvement.
- Produce design artifacts independently or collaboratively.
- Engage with stakeholders in workshops to achieve desired outcomes.
- Present designs to the Customer's Architecture Review Board as needed.
- Ensure solutions align with strategic architecture principles.
- Review designs and code from technical teams for alignment with overall solutions.
- Support delivery lead in breaking down solutions for iterative delivery.
- Review requirements and monitor change requests for solution fitness.
