Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated API test cases for RESTful and SOAP services using Rest Assured (Java)
- Build scalable API automation frameworks supporting functional, integration, and regression testing
- Develop reusable and data-driven test components using Java and supporting libraries
- Perform API response validation including: JSON/XML schema validation, payload verification, HTTP response/header validation, backend database validation using SQL
- Execute end-to-end API workflow testing across upstream and downstream systems
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and product teams to identify defects early and improve API quality
- Integrate automated test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines with automated execution and reporting
- Conduct API security testing including OAuth/JWT validation, negative testing, and compliance validation
- Drive automation improvements focused on stability, speed, reusability, and test coverage
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Rest Assured and Java
- Expertise in API Automation Testing for REST & SOAP services
- Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab pipelines
- Good understanding of SQL and backend validation
- Knowledge of OAuth/JWT authentication mechanisms
