Summary: The Antibody Discovery and Engineering Scientist role is a full-time, laboratory-based position in Slough, focused on developing next-generation antibody therapeutics. Key Responsibilities:
- Discover therapeutic monoclonal antibodies for patients suffering with serious disease
- Utilize yeast display technology for human antibody discovery and optimization
- Design and perform selections using synthetic display libraries to support antibody discovery projects
- Prepare and analyze next generation sequencing (NGS) libraries
- Collaborate with computational scientists to apply AI/Deep learning and structure-based approaches
- Develop new methodologies in antibody display and engineering
- Deliver results against timelines across project teams
- Present experimental data at cross-functional meetings
Key Skills:
- PhD (or equivalent) with molecular biology and protein biochemistry knowledge, ideally in antibodies
- Experience with in vitro display libraries for discovery, affinity maturation, or protein engineering
- Knowledge of biochemical characterization techniques (flow-cytometry, SPR, BLI)
- Computational skills including molecular visualization and NGS data analysis
- Strong attention to detail and critical data analysis abilities
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
