Summary: The Ansible - SQL Developer role is focused on designing and developing secure, scalable solutions within the GTIS SQL Engineering team, contributing to Cyber Excellence initiatives. The position requires a blend of software engineering and database expertise, along with automation skills and a commitment to modern DevOps practices. The successful candidate will engage in the full solution life cycle while collaborating with various teams to ensure adherence to standards and best practices. This is a contract position for six months, starting at the end of June.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade solutions supporting Cyber Excellence and related strategic initiatives.
- Deliver robust SQL Server engineering and development capabilities across the solution life cycle.
- Ensure adherence to Barclays standards for change management, database security, governance, and architectural patterns.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to design and implement integrated solutions.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, APIs, and supporting services.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and operational processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency, reliability, and security across platforms.
- Act as a proactive team member, influencing and supporting colleagues across Infrastructure Services.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
