Role Overview:

We are now looking for an Android Engineer to join us in building a market-leading Android app. You will work with others to build, test, and run the application and associated pipelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, Develop, and Maintain
  • Collaboration and Communication
  • Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Performance and Optimization
  • Agile Development

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Kotlin with best practices; experience in Java is beneficial but not primary.
  • Proficient in integrating third-party APIs and understanding networking concepts, including RESTful services and handling JSON/XML.
  • Deep understanding and experience working with Android SDK, including App Components and Lifecycle, Permissions System, and usage of Jetpack libraries.
  • Experience ensuring compatibility across various Android devices and screen sizes; knowledge of implementing components to adhere to a design system is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of version control workflows, especially with Git.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with tools like Jira
