p>We are looking for a talented Android Developer to join a prestigious digital transformation consulting firm for a 6-month contract. You will work on cutting-edge projects, delivering innovative mobile solutions for a high-profile client. This hybrid role requires one day per week in the London office. 
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and Back End developers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal app performance.
- Implement robust and secure solutions adhering to client requirements.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and code reviews.
- Stay up to date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an Android Developer with a strong portfolio of delivered projects.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development.
- Hands-on experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Expertise in using Git for version control and collaboration.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and their integration into Android apps.
- Familiarity with modern Android development frameworks like Jetpack and Compose.
- Experience with testing tools such as JUnit or Espresso.
- Knowledge of performance optimisation and debugging tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CI/CD tools for Android application deployment.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions such as Firebase or AWS.
- Understanding of design principles and best practices for user interfaces and user experiences.
