Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team and contribute to a national-scale mobile app within a public sector organisation that prioritises engineering excellence.
You will be part of a forward-thinking environment with a modern setup that includes automated testing, ephemeral branch deployments, and performance testing using AWS CodeBuild.
In this role, you'll appreciate a focus on clean architecture and thorough test coverage.
Working mostly remotely, you’ll be crucial in our efforts to deliver high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate internal government services into a heavily utilised mobile app.
- Develop features end to end, maintaining high standards in testing and quality throughout.
Essential Skills
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Experience with Jetpack Compose
- Familiarity with MVVM and Clean Architecture
- Competence in automated testing (unit, integration/feature, and UI)
- Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Java
- Experience with K6 for performance testing
- Familiarity with AWS and CodeBuild
Requirements
- Prior experience in government or public sector projects
- Eligibility for SC clearance
