Summary: The AML & Conflicts Team Leader will oversee client onboarding and compliance workflows within an established team at an International Law Firm for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role requires a compliance professional with significant experience in business acceptance or compliance, ideally within a law firm, to lead a small team and ensure exceptional service delivery. The position demands strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will also support policy drafting and training initiatives while managing compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing client onboarding and matter opening, troubleshooting issues, and keeping workflows running efficiently
- Acting as a go-to expert for conflicts, AML, CDD, billing, and third-party payor queries
- Allocating and managing workloads, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy
- Leading a small team, providing training, and ensuring a consistent approach to compliance processes
- Resolving conflicts, conducting sanctions screenings, and advising fee-earners on CDD requirements
- Supporting policy drafting, delivering training, and assisting with system upgrades
Key Skills:
- Considerable experience in business acceptance or general compliance, ideally within a law firm
- Solid understanding of AML and conflicts regulations across multiple jurisdictions
