Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting conflict of interest checks for new clients, matters, and counterparties using internal systems
  • Analysing and interpreting conflict results, escalating issues, and advising on solutions
  • Maintaining accurate records of conflict assessments and outcomes
  • Carrying out client due diligence and KYC checks in line with Money Laundering Regulations and other legislation
  • Verifying client and beneficial owner identities, assessing risks, and identifying red flags
  • Performing sanctions and PEP checks
  • Monitoring ongoing client relationships and updating records to ensure compliance is maintained
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of all KYC documentation

We are working with a leading professional services firm to hire an AML & Conflicts Assistant to join their compliance team in London on a 6-month FTC. In this role, you’ll be supporting the firm’s regulatory obligations, ensuring effective conflict of interest checks and robust client due diligence processes. The firm is seeking a degree-qualified professional with experience in compliance or a related area, ideally with prior exposure to working within a law firm.
