Summary: The AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer role at Carbon60 involves maintaining and troubleshooting electronic and Radio Frequency test racks, as well as managing computer systems on the EGSE network. Key Skills:
- Minimum of a degree in an Electrical Engineering-related discipline or relevant experience in a similar role for over 5 years
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of electronic and RF test racks
- Fault-finding skills down to board and component level
- Network and computer administration in Windows and Linux environments
- Good documentation skills (procedures, reports, etc.)
- Knowledge of interfaces such as Mil-1553, SpaceWire, CAN bus, RS232/422, etc.
- Competence in using a variety of general-purpose lab test equipment
- Knowledge of test systems, design, manufacture, and commissioning
- Willingness to support shifts and travel overseas on test campaigns as required

About AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer - Stevenage
Carbon60 is seeking an experienced AIT Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer to join their client's space team in Stevenage. In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and fault-finding of electronic and Radio Frequency test racks as well as configuration, maintenance and administration of computers on the EGSE network.

Desirable Skills
- Experience of electrical integration of equipment on a spacecraft
- Working knowledge of TMTC Databases
- Writing test sequences/scripts for execution of spacecraft systems tests, including FDIR from the Central Checkout System (CCS)
- Experience of environmental and launch test campaigns
- Familiarity with the Windows and Linux operating systems
- Programming and scripting languages, particularly writing and debugging Linux/Unix bash scripts
Please note for this role you MUST be a British Citizen and be eligible for SC clearance.
Full time onsite at Stevenage facility
Umbrella rate £45 per hour (PAYE also available)
