Summary: The Aircraft Maintenance Technician role is a 6-month contract based in Brize Norton, Carterton, focusing on the maintenance and servicing of critical survival and aircraft equipment for a leading Defence and Aerospace company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance and servicing of critical survival and aircraft equipment.
  • Support operations in the Role Equipment Bay.
  • Work under the guidance of the Role Bay Coordinator and Head of Workshops.
  • Ensure equipment readiness, compliance, and operational delivery.
  • Service chemical oxygen generators in accordance with OEM procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Inspect, repack, and maintain life vests and associated survival equipment.
  • Accurately collect and input data into maintenance management systems and technical records.
  • Apply corrosion prevention compounds on relevant components and assemblies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain workplace standards in line with 6S principles.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in the maintenance and servicing of survival and/or role equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical publications and adhere to regulated maintenance practices.
  • Competence in the use of digital tools and maintenance data systems.
  • Familiarity with A400M or similar military transport platforms.
  • Awareness of human factors, FOD prevention, and tool control practices.

You will be involved in:
