Summary: The AI Product Owner will spearhead the identification, prioritization, and delivery of AI-driven solutions within the Investment Management or Asset Management sectors. This role serves as a crucial link between business, data, and technology teams, facilitating the client's transition to a data-centric, AI-enabled organization. The position requires a strong background in AI technologies and investment processes to effectively drive business value and efficiency. The contract is for an initial six months, requiring three days of on-site work in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, prioritise and deploy AI use cases within a controlled framework, collaborating with business teams to assess and document AI opportunities.
- Define and manage the AI product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Build business cases and success measures for AI initiatives focused on efficiency and risk reduction.
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear product features and technical deliverables.
- Document current and future-state operating models through business process and data flow analysis.
- Collaborate with technology and data teams to deliver AI solutions, including Generative AI and LLMs.
- Manage product backlogs, priorities, testing, and business readiness activities.
- Ensure compliance with governance, privacy, and responsible AI requirements in AI solution delivery.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and ongoing optimization of AI solutions.
- Support the development of broader AI capabilities, including process re-engineering and multi-agent orchestration.
Key Skills:
- Experience as a Product Owner or AI Product Owner in AI, data, or digital transformation projects.
- Background in investment management, asset management, or financial services.
- Understanding of investment processes and data across front, middle, and back-office operations.

Scope of the role:The AI Product Owner will lead the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of AI-powered solutions that drive business value, improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance decision-making. Acting as the bridge between business, data, and technology teams, this role will support the client's transition to a data-driven, AI-enabled organisation. You will need to have worked in an Investment Management or Asset Management domain previously, as this is an essential experience required from our clients brief.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility is to identify, prioritise and deploy AI use cases, in a controlled framework. This will include working across a range of LLMs:
- Partner with business teams to identify, assess and prioritise AI opportunities. Documentation that demonstrates AI will deliver against the goals of efficiency, insight, risk reduction.
- Eliciting from SMEs business requirements and delivering clear deliverables to the Technology team.
- Define and manage the AI product roadmap, aligning initiatives to business objectives.
- Identify, assess, and prioritise AI opportunities across the organisation.
- Build business cases and success measures for AI initiatives, focused on efficiency, insight, automation, and risk reduction.
- Gather and translate business requirements into clear product features and technical deliverables.
- Analyse business processes and data flows, documenting current and future-state operating models.
- Collaborate with technology and data teams to deliver AI solutions, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and intelligent automation.
- Manage product backlogs, priorities, testing, and business readiness activities.
- Ensure AI solutions are delivered in line with governance, compliance, privacy, and responsible AI requirements.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, adoption, benefit realisation, and ongoing optimisation.
- Support the development of wider AI capabilities, including process re-engineering, AI agents, and multi-agent orchestration.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience as a Product Owner, AI Product Owner, or similar role delivering AI, data, or digital transformation projects.
- Experience within investment management, asset management, wealth management, pensions, or financial services.
- Understanding of front, middle, and back-office investment processes and data.
- Experience working with AI technologies, including Generative AI and LLMs.
- Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and product delivery skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into actionable product and technical requirements.
- Understanding of data governance, AI governance, model risk, and data privacy principles.
Desirable
- Agile, Scrum, Product Owner, or Business Analysis certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of AI agents, automation technologies, and emerging AI frameworks.
