Summary: A seasoned AI/ML Gen AI Architect is sought to lead the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise-scale data and AI solutions in a hybrid role based in London. The position requires extensive experience in AI/ML and GenAI, particularly within regulated environments, to align AI-powered platforms with strategic business objectives. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and overseeing the entire data and AI lifecycle, particularly in Balance Sheet Management (BSM). Strong technical leadership and hands-on expertise are essential for success in this director-level position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams to design, build, and deliver data-intensive platforms and AI-powered solutions aligned to business needs.
- Oversee end-to-end delivery across the data and AI lifecycle for BSM, including data ingestion, modelling, ML development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Act as AIPX Delivery Manager, leading data pipeline design and development of high-quality data products aligned with architecture and performance standards.
- Provide technical leadership across data architecture, cloud engineering, and AI/ML capabilities.
- Collaborate with product owners, data teams, and business stakeholders to manage backlogs, risks, and translate business requirements into technical plans.
- Establish engineering best practices including coding standards, DevOps/MLOps pipelines, testing, and documentation.
- Drive innovation through evaluation of emerging AI technologies, PoCs, and responsible AI practices.
- Contribute to large-scale enterprise initiatives within banking environments.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of AI techniques and real-world implementation experience.
- Expertise in AI tools and platforms for accelerated delivery.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI models and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Experience in highly regulated environments (Banking/Financial Services preferred).
