AI Engineer – Contract
Location: Manchester – occasional onsite (maximum 1–2 days every 2 weeks)
Rate: £650–£725 per day, depending on experience
IR35: Outside IR35
Duration: Initial contract
Start: ASAP – ideally by next Monday
Working pattern: Initially 3 days per week
We’re looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join an exciting project delivering complex AI solutions. This is an urgent requirement for someone who can start immediately and has a strong combination of Databricks, Machine Learning and modern Agentic AI experience.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on Databricks experience
- Proven experience working with MLflow
- Strong understanding and practical experience of Agentic AI / AI Agents
- 3–5+ years’ experience delivering complex AI and Machine Learning solutions
- Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills
- Experience taking AI/ML solutions from development through to production
- Comfortable working with modern AI/ML technologies and cloud-based data platforms
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an experienced AI Engineer to work on a technically challenging project where your expertise in Databricks, MLflow and Agentic AI will be central to the delivery.
The role is Outside IR35, initially 3 days per week, with occasional attendance required in Manchester (no more than 1–2 days every two weeks).
Immediate availability is essential, with a target start of next Monday at the latest.
