Summary: The role of AI Engineer & Data Analyst involves developing AI-driven portfolio optimization tools and bespoke AI/ML applications for a well-established Asset Manager. This position is focused on enhancing credit analysis, risk assessment, and deal origination workflows, reporting directly to the CTO. The contract is for 6 months with potential extensions and is classified as outside IR35. The working arrangement is hybrid, based in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop AI-driven portfolio optimisation tools
- Build bespoke AI/ML applications to enhance credit analysis, risk assessment, and deal origination workflows
- Design, build, and deploy Python-based AI and machine learning applications
- Develop and fine-tune Gen AI/LLM-based solutions (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude, etc.)
- Move AI/ML concepts from research and experimentation through to production deployment
- Implement machine learning models using modern frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
Key Skills:
- Experience in investment bank or private markets environment
- Strong understanding of fixed-income markets or private credit
- Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks
- Experience with AI/ML application development
- Knowledge of Gen AI/LLM-based solutions

Orbis have partnered with a well established Asset Manager who are looking to strengthen their AI Capabilities. They require a Front Office focussed Senior AI Engineer to report directly to the CTO. Responsibilities include developing AI-driven portfolio optimisation tools & building bespoke AI/ML applications to enhance credit analysis, risk assessment, and deal origination workflows.
