Summary: The AI and Agile Tooling Architect role involves designing and optimizing AI-driven solutions and Agile tooling ecosystems to enhance software development and enterprise transformation. The position requires bridging AI innovation with Agile practices to improve productivity and decision-making. The architect will also evaluate emerging AI tools and ensure ethical AI usage within the organization. This role is based in London and requires a combination of on-site and remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement AI/ML solutions to improve productivity, decision-making, and automation.
  • Identify use cases for AI across Agile delivery, workforce management, and operations.
  • Integrate generative AI (e.g., copilots, chatbots) into enterprise workflows.
  • Ensure ethical AI usage, governance, and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and recommend adoption strategies.
  • Architect and optimize Agile toolchains (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, Jenkins).
  • Enable seamless integration across planning, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring tools.
  • Drive DevOps maturity through CI/CD automation and pipeline optimization.
  • Implement tooling standards and best practices across teams.
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Experience in enterprise-scale Agile transformations.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).

Key Skills:

  • Experience in large scale, enterprise transformations including the rollout of global Digital, Data, and AI factories.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Jira, Clarity, Rally, and adjacent ecosystems.
  • Ability to rationalize tooling, standardize taxonomy, and embed end-to-end reporting and MI across complex delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Experience in enterprise-scale Agile transformations.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).

Pay-rate: £716 per day (PAYE through Umbrella)

Role Description:

  • The AI & Agile Tooling Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing AI-driven solutions and Agile tooling ecosystems to enhance software development, delivery efficiency, and enterprise transformation.
  • This role bridges AI innovation with Agile practices, enabling teams to leverage intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and integrated toolchains to improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Experience of large scale, enterprise transformations across including the rollout of global Digital, Data, and AI factories and the establishment of enterprise CoEs and CoPs for financial services.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Jira, Clarity, Rally, and adjacent ecosystems, with rationalizing tooling, standardizing taxonomy, and embedding end-to-end reporting and MI across complex delivery.
