Agritech Consultant

Our partners include progressive farming businesses planning for the future, food and farming supply chains communicating additional value to customers and finance partners who help us navigate the early stages of building a different kind of technology startup.

Role

Over the last 3 years, listt.io has been steadily growing its network within the food, farming and agriculture space. We are looking to engage with these potential customers as our product concepts mature and we learn more about users’ needs and product features. A successful candidate will be a bridge between our customers and users and our internal R&D technical team. They will be home/field-based with occasional travel expected to sites to support technical development, commissioning and testing activities as well as project meetings - both internal and external. Day to day tasks will include building relationships with customers and developing value propositions for their business and farming needs with support from the wider team. A recent graduate from an agricultural-focused degree, based in the UK with a commercial profile and interests would be an ideal fit. Please note, this is a fixed term contract, with hours up for negotiation and with the potential to extend beyond the initial contract period of 3 months for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Build a community of listt.io customers and users
• Advise food, farming and agricultural businesses on best practices in appropriate technology adoption
• Become an in-house expert on the ADOPT by DEFRA funding landscape
• Develop value propositions with customers
• Build project plans and applications with the wider team
• Contribute to project delivery activities
• Help improve our MOB-BOT and other product concepts
• Represent listt.io at various trade events and conferences
• Help us improve our MOB-BOT product concept
• Support the technical team with field testing activities
• Develop confidence in demonstrating agricultural robotics in the field
• Co-ordinate the delivery of robotics services in farming environments

Experience

• Academic or relevant industry experience in the food, farming or agriculture industry
• An interest in developing a career in agritech consulting
• A deep understanding of regenerative agriculture principles
• Some understanding of agricultural robotics and interest to learn more
• Excellent communicator in different professional environments
• Effective while working independently
• Some practical on-farm experience is a bonus
• UK driver's licence with access to own vehicle would be ideal

Offer

• 3-month fixed term contract
• Location can be flexible but ideally South East
• Occasional visits to farming sites and office (London)
• Salary negotiable, depending on experience
