Summary: The role of Project Manager - SDLC involves overseeing the full project life cycle within a global publishing organization, focusing on Agile methodologies. The position requires effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, as well as strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes. The role is remote with occasional travel to London or Oxford offices. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension, starting in August 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full project life cycle, from initial concept to successful delivery, ensuring projects meet quality, timeline, and budget objectives.
- Lead and manage Agile project teams, driving collaboration, accountability, and productivity.
- Use Jira to track project progress, manage sprints, and communicate updates across teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed, aligned, and engaged throughout the project.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, and changes, ensuring timely resolution to avoid project delays.
- Ensure strong stakeholder management and facilitate smooth project transitions across teams and departments.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working as a Technical Project Manager in an Agile environment.
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and proficiency in using Jira for tracking and project management.
- Solid understanding of the full project life cycle, from planning and execution to delivery and post-project review.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
