Agile Program Manager - Ewallets/OCP AWS Cloud Migration - 15 month contract Hybrid/Hampshire

My client are looking for an Agile Program Manager for a Cloud Migration project to OCP/AWS. The team is a technical delivery team, so ideally you will also have experience of engineering from Release Train Engineer/Scrum Master experience.

Strong preference for EWallets/Digital Wallets experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

My clients payments digital ewallet domain is in the process of moving all key business capabilities from a Legacy, on prem hosted environment to the cloud. Its about 50% of the way through the process and needs to expedite the remaining capabilities' movement to the cloud, specifically in the provisioning, LCM, reporting, boarding, and transaction processing business capabilities. Completion date is aiming for December 2026

This role will contribute to this goal by directly managing (and expediting) a collection of projects that impact the Google, Samsung, and Other Wallet value stream's modernization journey. It is an "engineer-turned-project manager" role who will operate with a high level of autonomy and independence after the first 30 days of onboarding are complete.

As an Agile Program Manager, you will leverage your deep understanding of agile principles, project management, engineering, and modern software product development process to shape how we work, learn, and innovate -- in addition to the modernization delivery responsibilities. You will leverage your project/program management and technical skill set to continuously evolve product development process to reduce waste and improve efficiency and will also actively manage/escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to executive management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage flow of work across multiple 6+ agile teams within the Google, Samsung, and Other eWallet Value Stream and take accountability to efficiently manage large and complex products launches a
• Leverage data and metrics to derive insights and continuously identify improvement opportunities. Drives these improvement opportunities to fruition
• Be the champion of Agile Software Product development processes within the Google, Samsung, and Other eWallet Value Stream and ensure agile processes are adhered to by teams during product development cycles
• Lead the charge on building community, foster inter-team collaboration and the culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement across the entire Google, Samsung, and Other eWallet Value Stream
• Direct daily project and program management within the Modernization program, including all functions typically associated with program management (including but not limited to: reporting, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, work breakdown, execution management, communications). The group operates in a hybrid delivery environment that includes both waterfall and agile best practices.
• Hands on creation of a step by step plan to move dependent/integrated chunks (mostly API-based) of the Google, Samsung, and Other eWallet Value Stream to the target state architecture, including development, test, deployment, and data migration plans that ensure components are not sitting in production environment/staging for an extended period of time without live data moving through them (awaiting the deployment of other integrated API's or systems)
• Managing plan dependencies that span the whole of the Global Payments Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Compliance, and any other organization contributing to executing the Google and Samsung modernization roadmap
• Interfacing and collaborating effectively with multiple delivery organizations, including business program management, portfolio management, compliance management, and the rest of the agile delivery management organization into which this role reports.
• Lead major software development planning events across multiple teams, manage dependencies and risks to the development plan, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within stakeholder expectations
