Summary: This role is for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead a new team in delivering a complex greenfield digital service for a major defence customer on the South Coast. The candidate must possess strong agile experience and a solid understanding of GDS and Defence operations, along with active SC clearance. The position involves leading scrum teams and engaging with stakeholders to define project requirements. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading one or multiple scrum teams through the iterative delivery of complex data solutions
- Acting as Scrum Master alongside providing overall project leadership
- Taking an active role in the project delivery such as User-Centered Design
- Engaging senior stakeholders to help define requirements through the development of use cases
- Ensure best practices of Agile working
- Effectively manage team through discovery, alpha and beta phases
Key Skills:
- Significant public sector digital transformation experience
- Experience delivering projects from start to finish
- Experience leading the delivery of complex data driven software applications
- Experienced Agile practitioner
- Experience working in the defence sector ideal
- Strong awareness of the GDS Service Standards
- Comfortable with uncertainty and complexity and able to progress with tasks and plans without everything being known
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and communication skills
- Candidates are required to hold existing ACTIVE SC level security clearance

The successful candidate will have strong agile experience and solid appreciation for GDS and Defence operations. Due to the nature of the work, we require all candidates to have active SC clearance.

- Hybrid working - 3-4 days per week on site in Hampshire
