Summary: The Agile Delivery Manager is responsible for leading projects in accordance with GDS service standards, ensuring user-centered design and performance monitoring. This role involves facilitating Agile practices, engaging stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement within multidisciplinary teams. The manager will also oversee risk management and governance to align project delivery with organizational priorities. Collaboration and communication are key to meeting user needs and achieving project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with GDS service standards, including preparing for and leading service assessments.
  • Embed GDS principles into all aspects of delivery, from user-centered design to performance monitoring and iterative improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to deliver services that meet user needs.
  • Act as a servant leader, removing impediments and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure teams are aligned and effective.
  • Manage team dynamics and support high performance across projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring their needs are considered throughout delivery.
  • Clearly communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
  • Align project goals with organizational priorities while ensuring user needs remain central.
  • Drive a culture of experimentation and learning, using data to inform decisions and refine solutions.
  • Monitor project delivery metrics and feedback to ensure compliance with GDS principles.
  • Support the team in identifying opportunities for iteration and improvement across services.
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and constraints proactively.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with governance requirements, including GDS standards and organizational policies.
