Summary: The Agile Coach / SAFe Coach (SPC6) will lead an enterprise-wide Lean Agile and product transformation, transitioning the organization from a project-based to a product-based operating model. This strategic role requires a strong technology background and deep SAFe coaching expertise, focusing on high performance across teams and leadership. The coach will also support the launch of a new Platform Team and establish a Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Agile methodologies and coaching at all organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion enterprise-wide Lean Agile adoption and continuous improvement.
- Apply Lean Agile principles, practices, and product-thinking to drive cultural and operational transformation.
- Guide the transition from a project model to a product-centric operating model.
- Provide coaching to teams, leadership, Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and RTEs.
- Support teams in selecting and maturing Agile frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Coach ART execution, lead PI Planning, and drive ART maturity and performance.
- Launch Agile Release Trains (7+ ARTs released experience preferred).
- Deliver SAFe training sessions to teams, leadership, and Scrum Masters (SPC6 Certification is a MUST).
- Conduct workshops on Lean Portfolio Management, Product Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, story writing, ceremonies, and technical best practices.
- Enhance and develop training materials for enterprise-wide adoption.
- Partner with stakeholders to define Agile transformation strategy, roadmap, and metrics.
- Identify enterprise-level value streams and remove blockers impacting business agility.
- Promote transparency, psychological safety, and a continuous learning culture.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience applying Lean Agile methodologies and coaching.
- SPC6 certification - MUST HAVE.
- 5+ years of Agile Coaching experience with proven RTE experience - MUST HAVE.
- Strong background in technology and platform environments - MUST HAVE.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale Agile/SAFe transformations.
- Experience coaching ARTs, launching trains, and supporting PI Planning.
- Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to conduct onsite training in Reston, VA and Washington, DC as needed.

Demonstrated success leading large-scale Agile/SAFe transformations.
Experience coaching ARTs, launching trains, and supporting PI Planning.
Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and workshop facilitation skills.
Ability to conduct onsite training in Reston, VA and Washington, DC as needed.
Nice to Have
Experience establishing or working within a Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE).
