Summary: The Agile Coach will lead the adoption of Agile methodologies within a regulated financial services environment, focusing on enhancing team performance and compliance. This role involves coaching various stakeholders, facilitating key Agile events, and driving cultural change towards high-value delivery. The position requires a strong understanding of Agile frameworks and modern engineering practices, along with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. The role is based in Glasgow and is classified as inside IR35, requiring onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on coaching to Product Owners, Scrum Masters, engineers, and leaders to increase Agile maturity and delivery effectiveness.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to transition teams from traditional delivery models to Lean-Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) at scale.
  • Lead key events (PI Planning, QBRs, retrospectives) and remove complex delivery impediments across multiple teams.
  • Embed Agile practices that align with regulatory obligations, audit requirements, risk frameworks, and internal controls.
  • Use metrics (e.g., DORA, lead time, throughput) to drive predictable, high-quality, value-led delivery.
  • Promote servant leadership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement across technology and business functions.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years’ Agile coaching experience within large, regulated organisations — ideally financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and scaling frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Disciplined Agile).
  • Solid understanding of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DevOps, cloud environments).
  • Confident facilitator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate within complex governance structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
  • Relevant certification preferred (e.g., SPC, CSC, ICAgile).
