Summary: The Agile Coach will support a global organization by driving effective delivery across Product and Engineering teams in Shanghai. This role focuses on shaping high-performing, customer-centric teams that deliver business value through coaching, mentoring, and advisory skills. The Agile Coach will foster a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety while engaging with multiple stakeholders. This is a freelance contract position requiring full-time commitment on-site in Shanghai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide Product and Engineering teams to deliver working software effectively, with a strong focus on customer value and measurable outcomes.
- Support teams in breaking down work, removing blockers, reducing dependencies, and achieving a sustainable pace of delivery.
- Encourage teams to use delivery data and metrics to understand progress and improve performance.
- Promote early feedback loops by enabling teams to deliver working software in small, incremental batches.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and adaptation within teams.
- Help teams evolve by introducing tools, techniques, and practices that strengthen planning and continuous delivery.
- Work at all levels to identify opportunities for improvement, set clear goals, and support teams in achieving them.
- Create an environment where teams feel safe to share ideas, experiment, and challenge assumptions.
- Use techniques such as root cause analysis and “5 Whys” to help teams address challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
- Identify, engage, and align key stakeholders around delivery outcomes and change initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication and buy-in through clear storytelling, transparency, and responsiveness to concerns.
- Guide stakeholders through change management processes to ensure successful adoption of new ways of working.
- Mentor individuals and teams, drawing on your background in Product, Engineering, or Design.
- Influence behavioral change, helping teams adopt continuous delivery practices and focus on business value.

Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong background in Engineering, Product, or Design, with hands-on experience working alongside delivery teams.

We are supporting a global organisation.
We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to help drive effective delivery across Product and Engineering teams. The Agile Coach will play a key role in shaping high-performing, customer-focused teams that deliver real business value.
You will work across multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders, creating a culture of continuous improvement, psychological safety, and customer-first thinking. By combining coaching, mentoring, and advisory skills, you’ll influence individuals, teams, and leadership to deliver high-quality software in the most effective way possible.
Contract Details
- Type: Freelance Contract
- Duration: 3 months initially (extension possible)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, full-time
- Rate: Up to €35 per hour
- Location: Onsite, 5 days per week in the Shanghai office
