Summary: The Agile Coach role is a 6 to 9 month fixed-term contract focused on guiding teams and the organization in adopting Agile practices to enhance performance. The position requires in-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks and a proven track record in coaching Agile teams. The role involves collaboration with leadership, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. The position is hybrid, requiring attendance at the Leicester office and travel to other UK sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to establish Agile processes that align with organizational goals and strategies
- Coach and mentor teams, leaders, and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks
- Facilitate and support Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews
- Work with teams to remove impediments and ensure smooth progress toward objectives
- Support the transformation of the organization by promoting Agile values and principles at all levels
- Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to foster Agile understanding and best practices
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement Agile strategies that align with organizational goals
- Help the organization assess its current Agile maturity and provide guidance on the next steps for growth and full adoption
- Encourage collaboration, transparency, and accountability across teams and departments
- Track and report on key Agile metrics to monitor the success of Agile adoption and improvements
- Provide hands-on support to teams through coaching, facilitation, and feedback
Key Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, etc.)
- Proven track record of coaching and mentoring Agile teams
- Exceptional facilitation and communication skills
- Strong leadership with the ability to influence and drive change
- Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro)
- Relevant Agile certifications (CSM, CSP, SAFe, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to build trust and collaborate with teams at all levels of the organization
- Solid technical understanding of software development practices (for upper salary band)
- Previous experience in leading organizational change or Agile transformation (for upper salary band)
