Summary: FDM is seeking an Agile Business Analyst for a 12-month hybrid contract role in Leeds, focusing on gathering and analyzing business needs within the technology sector. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Engage with business areas and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights and manage expectations.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of epics, user stories, and tasks in Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Support risk identification and decision-making by engaging with SMEs and business areas.
- Support the Product Owner in prioritization and decision-making through upstream analysis.
- Gather and share insights across the programme and Business Analyst community via Confluence.
- Plan and manage pilot and rollout activities, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
- Liaise with assurance areas to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Guarantee that all rollout activities adhere to compliance, assurance, and governance standards.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and support continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in complex programme or project environments.
- Active UK Security Clearance (SC).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including backlog management.
- Experience managing requirements in Azure DevOps (ADO) and documenting outputs in Confluence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to align business needs to outcomes.

Our client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to play a key role in gathering and analysing business needs, managing requirements in Azure DevOps (ADO), and ensuring effective delivery and rollout of solutions. Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders and acting as a bridge to effectively translate requirements and insights
- Engage with business areas and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights, manage expectations, and address concerns
- Lead the creation and maintenance of epics, user stories, and tasks in ADO across all project phases while ensuring acceptance criteria are clearly defined, comprehensive, and aligned with business objectives
- Support risk identification and decision-making by engaging with SMEs and business areas
- Support the Product Owner in prioritisation and decision-making through upstream analysis of business value as well as leading refinement sessions, ensuring tickets are in a state of readiness before discussions
- Gather and share insights across the programme and Business Analyst community via Confluence, aligning requirements with business problem statements, objectives, and expected benefits
- Plan and manage pilot and rollout activities, ensuring internal and external stakeholder alignment, detailed planning, and continuous improvement through feedback
- Liaise with assurance areas to ensure compliance with requirements including penetration testing and Data Protection Impact Assessment/Privacy Policy updates while obtaining necessary approvals and readiness for go-live
- Guarantee that all rollout activities adhere to compliance, assurance, and governance standards
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and support continuous improvement while regularly reporting to leadership and stakeholders on progress, risks, and outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in complex programme or project environments
- Candidates must hold active UK Security Clearance (SC)
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including backlog management and refinement practices
- Demonstrable experience managing requirements ADO and documenting outputs in Confluence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to align business needs to outcomes and benefits
- Experience in compliance and assurance processes (e.g., security, data protection, and governance)
