Summary: The Agile BA & Lean Specialist role involves collaborating with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into user stories, while also focusing on automation opportunities and process improvement using Lean methodologies. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work in an Agile environment, mentoring junior team members and ensuring user stories meet business needs. This is a hybrid contract position based in London, UK, requiring 2-3 days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and analyse business requirements, and translate them into clear and concise user stories
- Create wireframe for User stories as part of the Definition of Ready
- Write acceptance criteria using BDD
- Ensure there is a healthy backlog at times
- Prepare value statements for PI planning
- Work with the development team to ensure that user stories are implemented correctly and meet business requirements
- Support release schedules including UAT with business stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for automation across various functions and processes
- Analyse and evaluate current processes to determine feasibility and ROI of automation
- Develop and implement automation solutions using Lean methodologies
- Monitor and continuously improve automated processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Identify opportunities for automation across various functions and processes
- Map end-to-end processes to understand process flow and develop value stream maps to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Mentor Junior ABA’s on the team
Key Skills:
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles, creating as is and to be end-to-end process value stream mapping
- Experience working in an Agile scrum development environment
- Writing user stories from requirements provided by Stakeholders
- Writing Acceptance criteria's for the requirements to be classed as definition of Ready
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies and principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, and JIRA
- 3+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst or similar role
- Experience with automation tools and technologies
- Creating Epics and user stories in Jira
