Summary: The Afternoon & Evening Paralegal role at an elite US law firm in London is a 6-month fixed-term contract focused on corporate and finance transactions. The position requires working from 12pm to 8.30pm and involves high-level responsibilities from day one. The successful candidate will assist lawyers with various aspects of corporate transactions and will be part of a dynamic team. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal with a strong background in capital markets and leveraged finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding of documentation required for High Yield Bond Transactions and the processes from commencement to closing.
• Assisting lawyers with transaction pre-closings and closings.
• Drafting due diligence memoranda, call logs, fact backup charts, and transfer circle ups.
• Dealing with attorney requests from the US office via the US Library.
• Conducting various document searches and factual research, including on computerized systems.
• Proofreading agreements and other transactional documents.
• Obtaining charter documents and good standing certificates from the Secretary of State in applicable jurisdictions.
• Handling post-closing matters including preparation of bound volumes.
• Gathering precedents for new transactions.

Key Skills:

• Excellent academic qualifications.
• Substantial paralegal experience within a top law firm, preferably in Capital Markets, US Securities, and Leveraged Finance.
• Proficiency in managing complex transactions within a firm’s Corporate practice groups.
• Ability to speak Italian, Spanish, or French is advantageous.
