Summary: The Environment Agency is seeking a specialist Advisor for Stack Emission Monitoring Certification to enhance and maintain the MCERTS standards for emissions monitoring. Key Responsibilities:
- Help shape and update the content and technical detail of MCERTS standards, drafting documents as required.
- Respond to queries from EA staff, operators, and consultants on MCERTS standards for stack emission and continuous monitoring.
- Present technical information to a range of different audiences.
- Represent the EA on MCERTS emissions standards with external groups, including regulators and certification bodies.
- Keep abreast of and influence international developments on emissions monitoring standards.
Key Skills:
- Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Technical expertise in stack emissions monitoring, ideally at MCERTS Level 2.
- Understanding of air quality legislation and industrial permitting.
- Knowledge of periodic and continuous stack emissions monitoring equipment.
- Experience with MCERTS accreditation and certification.
- Skilled in producing accessible technical information and managing tasks to deadlines.
- Degree or equivalent in a scientific, environmental, or engineering discipline.
