Summary: The Advanced Practitioner role in the Mental Health Team involves supervising and managing staff, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and conducting various assessments and reviews. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and includes responsibilities related to care act duties and aftercare support. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and line managing staff
- Absence management
- Quality approving reports
- Mentoring team members
- Ensuring legal compliance with relevant legislation
- Chairing meetings and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
- Undertaking care act duties, including s9 assessments and s27 reviews
- Supporting with s117 aftercare and alternative duties in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Mental Health Act 1983/2007, and Equality Act 2010
Key Skills:
- Experience in mental health practice
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (MCA, MHA, Equality Act)
- Ability to conduct assessments and reviews
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in mentoring and supporting staff
