Summary: The ADP GV / SAP Testing Specialist role is a PAYE contract position based in Glasgow, focusing on the implementation and optimization of testing methods for complex payroll systems. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated automation solutions and provide technical guidance on automation and secure coding standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive implementation and optimization of testing methods for complex payroll systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across HR IT, Workday IT, Time Tracking, and ADP to develop integrated automation solutions
- Apply SDLC methodologies to support upgrades, compliance changes, and enhancements to payroll/time systems
- Provide technical guidance on automation and secure coding standards in Java and related tools
- Support and manage integrations between global HR, Payroll, and Time Tracking systems
- Act as liaison with internal stakeholders and external HR/Payroll IT vendors for testing initiatives
- Lead testing efforts for annual technology changes in ADP GV and Workday solutions
- Proactively support business rule changes and testing across payroll-related platforms
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience in testing within ADP GlobalView or SAP Payroll environments
- Strong knowledge of payroll functional processes and system integrations
- Familiarity with time tracking systems such as eTime, Workforce Manager, or Kronos
- In-depth understanding of Software Test Life Cycle and methodologies (SIT, UAT, Regression, End-to-End)
- Proficient in Java, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and automation frameworks
- Experience using test management tools such as JIRA or ALM
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently across multiple stakeholders
- Proven experience in managing defect reporting and resolution processes
