Key Responsibilities:

This role operates on a hybrid working arrangement that will require a minimum 1 day per week in our Coventry head office. This may fluctuate in line with business requirements. Our working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts.

About our Department : Our fantastic Admissions team coordinate, assess and process all applications and the enrolment of students while ensuring the University’s admissions process is compliant with necessary regulatory legislation.

About the Opportunity: The Admissions Team Leader manages a team of Admissions officers and Senior Admissions Officers, ensuring all applications are assessed correctly, efficiently and in a timely manner. They also manage the related dedicated inboxes, ensuring queries are actioned appropriately and in timely manner by the team.

About You: Essential requirements: Proven analytical and problem solving capability. Proven communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Empathetic and strong listening and mediation skills. Proven planning and organising skills and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Able to delegate as needed to ensure operational requirements are met. Line management skills that could include coaching, motivation and managing staff performance Experience of working in a high-volume data processing environment. Significant admissions experience within HE environment Growing awareness of developments in higher education and external professional environment that impact on academic affairs. Knowledge and understanding of the work practices, processes and university regulations relevant to the role, which may include broader sector awareness.

Desirable requirements: Experience of performance management and individual/team KPI’s. Previous experience using SITS or comparable admissions systems to maintain an accurate database. Working knowledge of the work and activities of other areas of the University relevant to department. Operational knowledge of academic affairs systems in terms of admissions functionality and capability, and detailed knowledge of own service area.
