Summary: The Administrator (Maternity Cover) role involves providing efficient administrative support during a maternity leave period, assisting the CEO with various tasks including fundraising, HR, and communications. The position is part-time, home-based with regular meetings in South Yorkshire, and requires strong organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will manage diary and meeting arrangements, maintain records, and support donor engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries by phone, email and post.
- Maintain accurate electronic filing and records.
- Support donor care and keep databases up to date (Donorfy).
- Assist with finance admin, expenses and office supplies.
- Organise meetings, travel and events.
- Format and maintain policies/documents in line with brand guidelines.
- Provide admin support for fundraising campaigns and donor engagement.
- Assist with social media and website enquiries.
- Help coordinate events/exhibitions, including occasional evenings/weekends.
- Manage diary, travel and meeting arrangements for the CEO.
- Prepare agendas, take minutes and follow up actions.
- Liaise with trustees, staff, consultants and external partners.
- Keep communication and organisation aligned to the CEO’s priorities.
Key Skills:
- At least two years’ administrative experience (charity experience desirable).
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to prioritise and work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible; willing to attend occasional evening/weekend events.
- Experience with donor management systems (e.g. Donorfy) is desirable.
- Previous charity sector experience is desirable.
