Summary: The Administrative Assistant role at Coleg Sir Gâr involves providing essential support to the Campus Office, ensuring efficient operations and high standards of customer service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative and word processing support as directed by the Campus Manager and other staff.
  • Support Faculty Managers and other College staff as agreed.
  • Promote and deliver excellent standards of customer care service.
  • Perform financial functions related to campus income and petty cash.
  • Handle Registry/Admissions functions, including student advice and online enrolments.
  • Assist with examination procedures and administrative duties related to examination certificates.
  • Input data into various computerised record systems.
  • Act as a contact point for staff and students regarding absences.
  • Process college vehicle and internal room bookings.
  • Provide bilingual reception service and sort campus mail.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Campus Manager.

Key Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Word Processing Level 2 / Appropriate IT Qualifications.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics at minimum Grade C or O Level equivalent.
  • Relevant administrative experience.
  • Good analytical skills and high degree of self-motivation.
  • Diplomacy and tact with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and produce high-quality work.
  • Welsh Oracy (Listening/Speaking) - Level 3 and Welsh Literacy (Writing/Reading) - Level 2.
