Summary: The Active Directory SME role in Knutsford involves analyzing and remediating security findings within Active Directory. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze & Prioritize Findings: Review AD security findings, assess severity, and determine remediation actions.
- Implement Fixes: Apply configuration hardening, update GPOs, correct permissions, resolve insecure settings, and remediate privileged groups or service accounts.
- Clean Up AD Objects: Remove or fix stale, orphaned, or misconfigured accounts, computers, and SPNs.
- Coordinate Changes: Work with AD, IAM, platform, and application teams to validate and implement changes through proper change control processes.
- Document & Report: Record remediation steps, update tracking logs, and provide clear status updates to security and project stakeholders.
- Improve Sustainability: Recommend process improvements and help establish ongoing monitoring and governance to prevent recurrence.
