Accountant required to support an independent firm in Leeds on a temporary basis.

Your new company
You'll be joining a small independent accountancy firm based in Leeds, known for its friendly culture and hands-on approach to supporting local businesses. The team is close-knit, collaborative, and looking for a temporary member of staff during the busy summer months, commencing ASAP running until early September.

Your new role
As a temporary Accountant, you'll play a key role in preparing year-end accounts for a portfolio of small limited companies. Your work will help the firm stay on top of increased seasonal demand, ensuring clients receive accurate, timely financial information. You'll be involved in tasks such as:
Preparing year-end accounts - drafting accounts for small limited companies
Reviewing client bookkeeping - ensuring records are complete before accounts preparation
Supporting senior accountants - assisting with schedules, working papers, and any follow-up queries
Liaising with clients - clarifying queries, and ensuring smooth workflow during the busy period

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, or you will also be considered if you have the relevant experience (qualified by experience).
Strong attention to detail is essential.
Availability during the summer months to support the team throughout the temporary assignment
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with the supportive team around you
Excellent communication skills to be able to build a good working relationship with both your team and the clients you are assigned to
