Summary: The Accounts Receivable Team Manager at ghd is responsible for leading a team to manage credit control processes, aiming to reduce overdue debt while ensuring timely reporting. This role involves collaboration with various departments, relationship management, and continuous process improvement. The manager will also oversee bad debt processes and contribute to financial forecasting. The position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of 2, providing motivational leadership and coaching.
- Oversee the Salon Channel, focusing on process improvement and dispute management.
- Review and report on UK Aged Debtors, including quarterly bad debt and credit limit reviews.
- Maintain regular updates and relationships with business development managers.
- Prepare month-end reporting and manage the bad debt/legal process for salons.
- Assist with audit processes and internal auditor testing (SOX).
- Conduct ledger reviews and manage monthly specific bad debt provision reporting.
- Create and action all reporting in a timely manner.
- Prepare a weekly rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
- Manage the stock return process and the rebate tracker.
Key Skills:
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- Previous experience managing a team and setting targets.

ABOUT THIS ROLE To manage and co-ordinate the credit control team to support the reduction of overdue debt, whilst reporting is completed to deadlines reporting into the Business Process Expert, Order to Cash.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of 2, providing motivational leadership and coaching
- Manage oue Salon Channel - providing process improvement, building relationships and dispute management
- Review & Report on all UK Aged Debtors
- Quarterly bad debt and credit limit reviews – regular risk assessment
- Regular updates and relationship management with business development managers
- Month End reporting portfolio
- Continuous process improvement, relationship building between all departments
- Manage the bad debt/legal process for salon
- Assist with Audit and Internal Auditor processes/testing (SOX)
- Ledger Reviews and assist with monthly specific Bad Debt Provision reporting
- Ensure all reporting is created and actioned in a timely manner
- Prepare a weekly rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- Management of the Stock return process
- Management of the Rebate Tracker
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
- Must be enthusiastic, and persuasive with excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Previous track record of managing a team and setting targets
- Must have experience of handling negotiation discussions
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to set, manage and work to targets
- Must be organised, self-motivated. Should be flexible and have the ability to travel to other sites/meetings as required.
- Able to prioritise work and will have exceptional time management skills
- Previous MSD experience preferrable
