What you’ll do
As a Finance Officer – Accounts Payable, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the accounts payable function across Notting Hill Genesis.
You’ll help maintain strong financial controls by accurately processing supplier invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with financial procedures and supporting the financial stability of the organisation.
Working as part of the Finance Operational Hub, you’ll build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and external stakeholders to resolve queries promptly and improve processes that support excellent service delivery.
How you’ll do it
- Process supplier invoices and other payments accurately and within agreed timescales, ensuring compliance with NHG procedures and financial regulations.
- Review and reconcile supplier accounts and payments made from NHG bank accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies where necessary.
- Respond to enquiries from internal stakeholders and external suppliers, escalating issues appropriately to ensure swift resolution.
- Work collaboratively with property management teams, local authorities, and government departments to resolve payment-related queries and issues.
- Support the continuous improvement of accounts payable systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all documentation is stored appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant NHG policies, statutory requirements, financial regulations, and health and safety procedures.
- Contribute positively to a busy, high-performing finance team, supporting colleagues and meeting deadlines effectively.

Essential
- Part or fully qualified CCAB qualification desirable, or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy team and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- A proactive and organised approach with the ability to follow direction when required.

- D365 experience a huge advantage
- Housing experience not essential but a definite benefit
