Summary: We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager for a 12-month contract with a dynamic production company. The role involves managing a small team, overseeing accounts payable operations, and collaborating with the Financial Controller to enhance processes within the finance function. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the AP team, providing training and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Oversee invoice processing, expense claims, Ltd Co payroll, and payment runs
  • Manage credit card and prepaid card programmes, including reconciliations and postings
  • Review bank reconciliations, weekly cashflow forecasts, and key AP accounts
  • Resolve supplier queries, reconcile statements, and build strong relationships
  • Support month-end with tasks such as cashflow reporting and PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations

Key Skills:

  • Previous AP leadership experience in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, IF/SUMIF)
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and multi-currency reconciliations
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience with PMI accounting system and Barclays.NET banking is desirable, but not essential
