Summary: The Accounts Payable Manager role in Hemel Hempstead involves overseeing the entire Accounts Payable function within a reputable business. The successful candidate will manage a small team and report directly to senior leadership, focusing on improving efficiency and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This interim position is expected to last between 3 to 6 months. Immediate availability is required for applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improving the efficiency of the processes of the whole PL function
  • Training new and existing staff members on best practice to adhere to business standards
  • Processing of payment runs
  • Management of supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee all reconciliations of key AP accounts
  • Oversee corporate transactions and monthly reconciliations
  • Set and manage KPIs

Key Skills:

  • Proven background in AP management and overseeing a small team
  • Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping
  • Confident and proactive nature with ability to troubleshoot problems quickly internally and externally
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Professional finance-related qualification is desirable
