Detailed Description From Employer:

Company Overview You will be joining a fast-growing, well-established and highly regarded Law Firm as their Accounts Payable Assistant on an initial 3 month fixed term contract. Part of a high-performing and supportive team of 8 and a much larger wider finance team including 6 in Billing, you will report into the Cashiers Team Leader and work closely alongside the Senior Legal Cashiers. Based in their very modern and recently renovated City of London office 1 day a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 4 days. There will also be opportunities to work fully remotely some of the time.

Role Responsibilities In your new role, you will be responsible for posting expenses, counsel fees, supplier invoices and credit notes. You will reconcile supplier statements, deal with emails and queries in the Purchase Ledger inbox and write-off unbilled disbursements.

Role Requirements In order to succeed in this role, you will need at least 1-2 years of previous experience working in a Purchase Ledger role, ideally in a Law Firm (or wider Professional Services environment). You will have excellent numeracy skills, meticulous attention to detail and an outstanding work ethic. You will be able to work effectively within a team as well as independently and you will need to possess excellent communication skills. You will be able to work under pressure and have a conscientious, approachable and enthusiastic attitude. You will have experience using Accountancy software such as and be confident with the use of Excel to an intermediate level.

In Return You will receive an annual salary equivalent of up to £35,000 (pro rata to the 3 month FTC and depending on experience) + Benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. You will be joining a growing Law Firm that could potentially provide impressive future progression opportunities after your initial contract has ended. You will report directly into the Cashiers Team Leader who will be there to aid your learning and development, alongside the highly experienced Senior Cashiers.
