Key Responsibilities:
- Calculating pay and deductions for contractors/employees and issuing payslips.
- Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Communicating with clients for the collection of relevant information.
- Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
- Preparing monthly CIS reports for HMRC filing.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Keeping payroll operations confidential and maintaining employee/contractor confidence.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Posting transactions in Quickbooks.
- Preparing various reports as requested by management.
- Answering the phone and dealing with all wage queries.
- Performing other ad-hoc duties as required.
