Key Responsibilities:
- Post all accounting transactions into accounting software.
- Assist with control account reconciliations and adhoc analysis.
- Handle multi-currency transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and post journals, including depreciation, accruals, and prepayments.
- Manage intercompany journals and loan accounts.
- Produce monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.
- Complete general adhoc tasks as required.
Key Skills:
- Level 2 English and Maths.
- Accounting degree or similar.
- Part Qualified (ACA/CIMA) or working towards full accreditation.
- Prior experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience using Access Dimensions.
- Understanding of accounting routines and month-end reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables).

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The role is fundamental in posting all accounting transactions into our accounting software, helping with control account reconciliations and adhoc analysis. The role will require adhering to strict weekly, monthly and quarterly deadlines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Experience dealing with multi-currencies – we have a number of statutory entities based in other countries and we have many transactions in different currencies. The role involves posting invoices and transactions in various currencies, reviewing data and reports in different currencies.
- Bank Reconciliation Ownership of multiple currency bank accounts, ensuring postings and reconciliations are carried out on a weekly basis.
- Gross Profit Margin Ownership of the gross profit margin and reconciliation to the balance sheet each month
- Preparing journals Preparation and posting of journals on a weekly and monthly basis. Including; depreciation, accruals, prepayments etc.
- Intercompany journals & intercompany loan accounts Transactions between statutory entities in the group. Post journals to record these transactions Produce monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances for consolidation purposes.
- Preparing Management reports Preparation of the monthly profit and loss account and balance sheet.
- Adhoc tasks General adhoc tasks
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Level 2 English and Maths
- Accounting degree (or similar)
- Part Qualified
- Working towards full (ACA/CIMA) accreditation
EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience of working in a relevant finance and / or accounting role
- Accounts experience
- Experience using Access dimensions
KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of accounting or financial environment.
- Working knowledge of accounting routines, such as month end reconciliations, journals & nominals.
- Experience preparing and reviewing control account reconciliations

You can expect a competitive salary in the region of £30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience, this is initially a three-month fixed term contract and would be an immediate start.
